· D-(+)-Glucosamine hydrochloride is the precursor at the start of the hexosamine pathway that is essential to the formation of common proteoglycans.
· D-(+)-Glucosamine hydrochloride combines with chondroitin sulfate in cartilage and is found as a monomer in chitin.
Applications
