A safe dye for visualization of nucleic acids in agarose gels, replacement of toxic EtBr.
SafeDye Nucleic Acid Loading Dye replace toxic Ethidium Bromide (EtBr), a potent mutagen, for the visualization of double-stranded DNA, single-stranded DNA, and RNA in agarose and polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. SafeDye Nucleic Acid Loading Dye are non-carcinogenic by the Ames-test. The results are negative in both the mouse marrow chromophilous erythrocyte micronucleus and mouse spermatocyte chromosomal aberration tests.
Simply mix SafeDye Nucleic Acid Loading Dye with your samples (dye : sample=1:5) before loading into the gel and visualize the gel by UV or blue light source.
